I´m looking for an affordable full supension that can resist my 230 lbs weight:eek: ( which I intend to reduce to 180) . I climb steep hills and then go down, so I need a strong bike for the down hill and a light for the climb. Easy?? 🙂 I'm quite athletic so i reach high speeds in the downhill. Anyone can tell about the Flow FS? A recomendation for me in the range of 1000-1500 US$??

Well I've been looking at a similar purchase, something with reasonable suspension for trails and reasonably technical downhill runs but fairly light and efficient for climbing and putting the power to the ground. A hardtail is just not right for the rough technical sections but there is power loss and pedaling bob to consider with a full suspension model. I'm strongly leaning towards the Specialized Epic models which are reasonably light and have the "brain" technology with a valve that automatically locks the rear suspension when there are no bumps and virtually eliminates power losses and pedalling bob through the rear shock.
I'm very interested in feedback from anyone riding these machines or any other recommendations. They are fairly pricy and probably not within the price range stated, certainly not here in Australia.
