  1. Hi All,

I have a cyclocross bike and was thinking of buying some road tires for commuting during school. I am not planning on doing any off roading because i usually have a busy schedule. My question is if it is worth buying road tires and how much of a difference "should" i notice in my performance compared to cyclocross tires.

    Thanks

  2. My main road ride is a cross bike. You will notice a pleasant difference with slicks. If you are mainly commuting, I would go with a 30-35 touring tire. It will last longer and be more flat resistant than a skinny road tire. My beater bike has Panaracer Paselas, and I've never managed to flat them (knock on wood).
