Well I am in the market for a road orientated bike, have been riding a Mongoose Rockadile AL (which is basically an entry level x country hardtail mtb), and after deciding that road "racer" bikes weren't reliable or durable enough, I am going through the hybrid vs touring bike debate in my head.
Basically I won't be riding over anything worse than a gravel road, and I'm not carrying anything ridiculously heavy like camping gear, so which is better? More importantly (and this is a very typical 16 year old question I know), which would be faster/easier to ride?
