hi im new to cycling i have a mounting bike witch i dug out the shed iv rode about 15 miles a fue times becauce i want to get fit. i want to take it up as a interest i also so want to buy a road bike the thing is im 22 stone but i so want to do this witch bike would be best for me can anyone help to get me started

Before you buy a new bike, switch the tires to ROAD SLICKS (you'll probably need new/smaller tubes) ...Possibly, change the outer chainring to one with more teeth (e.g., 46t or 48t).
FWIW. I recommend you consider a "touring" bike OR a Hybrid with 700c wheels AND a non-suspension fork -- essentially, a bike where you can choose any tyre that you deem to be appropriate for the conditions & rider weight.

thank-you for the advice i will try changeing the tires and the outer chainting and see how i get on ? thanks once again tony
