Heh. There's something like that near where I live: a cycle track splits off from the main road,
goes onto the footpath, behind a bus shelter and rejoins the main road about 12 metres further on.

Sadly I don't have a picture of this particular instance of Highways Agency genius.

LOL. In Spain (Gerona IIRC) I once saw a block of flats with projecting balconies built /around/ a
telegraph pole - No.6a could get a free 450v (or whatever) power supply.
