Ritchey - serious customer service

I've used Shimano hubs (DuraAce) for about 10 years and have had no problems with the freewheel.
That goes for MTB hubs (Deore, XT) too. I have also had no problems with Mavic hubs, although they
are mostly on my race wheels.

I think problem free is better than excellent service.

So should we conclude from your experience that Shimano does not have a warranty/service dept.
because their products never fail? I have two sets of wheels build with WCS hubs and they are just
fine after many miles--and they weigh much less than Dura Ace.

I'm disagreeing with the assertion that a good warranty department makes up for poor
manufacturing/design.

I had some Oakley glasses a few years ago. The frames broke every year. I would then send them
to Oakley who would, in two weeks, give me a new pair. Great service, but I finally got sick of
the routine.
