Ritchey illogic

Help! I'm trying to disassemble a Ritchey Logic threadless headset to change the grease. I have the
cap off, and the stem removed, now how do I get the headset apart? The assembly seems to be held

Its probably one of those that has that compression wedge ring on top. Simple to remove: Get a
rubber mallett and whack the steerer down (lift the fork off the floor) till it drops a fe cm. Then
push down on the bearing cap with your fingers and that should release the pressure on the wedge
ring thing and you shoudl be able to pull it off.

Thanks. I had a feeling it was something simple like that. but I wanted to make sure there wasn't a
less "violent" method before taking a hammer to it! LOL!

What you describe sounds right, there is something that resembles a plastic snap ring embedded in
the top of the upper race. I can twist the race on the steerer tube, but it won't budge verticaly.
