hi wondering if ayone can help me?? 😕 i have a 7 year old pnarello angrilu which has been in the shed for bout 3 years, it was a present and after 4 years of road cycling for fun and fitness i just kinda lost interest through other committments. Im looking to get back on it again ans the only thing stopping me is the wheels gears forks brakes etc are all in working order as i still take it out clean it etc but i think my wheels are not running true and i would like slightly thicker tyres due to te roads round here. the rims say 622 x 15 on them and i dont know what that means, after i can replace them thn i will find my way with tyres. what size of rim can i get and what kind? im not all that clued up on that. thanks in advance xx 😄

I would recommend that you clean it up as planned and then take it to your local bike shop for a check up.
Tell them what you were thinking about for the tires, and they should be able to give you some good suggestions.
They also should be able to true the wheels for you, repack bearings if necessary, adjust cables, etc. Get the bike back in good running order so you don't have to mess with it much for a few years.
They should write you an estimate just like a car repair shop does for your car.
Then, you might want to run the estimate by some of the folks on this forum to see what they think.

FWIW. You can use ANY 700c tyre which your frame will accommodate -- definitely 700x25, possibly 700x28 ...
You can theoretically mount a 700x58 tyre on a 622-15 rim ... perhaps, a little dodgy, but it could be done.
