go to your LBS and ask for one of the stones they don't use anymore or of they are cheap buy one from Mavic .. it does a great job and improves breaking ..

Thanks for the tip. I will check to see if any of the LBS around here have the stones.

Called about a dozen stores today. Here in the United States, the stone from Mavic is very elusive. Talked to Mavic directly and they told me that indeed the product isn't as well known in the US. I can have my LBS order one for me however.

Scotch Brite pads, sheets, etc. do the job.

I borrow one from the kitchen and a little dish soap with the water. Rinse and dry with a clean cloth.
