Hi to all.
I've just have the following quickie:
When training indoors what do you folks use? I've also seen a link to training DVDS and was wondering if anybody used them, or if there was a review of this product on the forums?
I need to ride indoors as I have a small child and cant spend too much time away from home at the moment.
I rode as a kid in colege and have been back in the saddle for 1 year.
Any advice would be great!!!
Heres the link to the vids I mentionied earlier:

I use the Kurt Kinetic Road Machine and stream trance music for free for L4 intervals. I have gained about 40 watts in FTP and 500 watts in my sprint in five months following advice from the power training cycling cyborgs. Tracking the improvements really made the winter fly by and I think I have bonded with my KK.🙂

I use different things to keep me from going crazy. For aerobic sessions I just watch movies or a spinerval DVD. For any seesion where I am going to be at or above threshold I listen to drum & bass/trance music. I prefer to do these workouts in a room away from the rest of the family. I find when doing intervals on a trainer/rollers I have to concentrate to stay within the required zone. Techno music helps me focus on the hurt and block everything else out.

+1 on the Kurt Kinetic/Spinervals here too
I used to ride by myself, the longest being 1 1/2 hours
Doing 2x20 intervals and spinervals got me fit up to the point
where I was brave enough to go on 70 mile group rides at speeds avg 18mphIf you are the solitary type and can apply yourself mentally by following the dvds you will see benefits for sure.

My current Sunday run, which i do alone, out of fear of not being strong enough to join a club is: about a 2 hour ride in which I do about 55/60 kms. So,i dont mind riding alone!🙂
