I live mainly in Gwent, which is cycling heaven, but occaisionally I'm up here in SE 27. Where the hell do people ride around here (apart from Herne Hill)? It's city all the way to Croydon!

You get to play "dodge the pillocks" across the Runcorn Bridge, get to breathe in the exotic mix of chemicals and fumes past the ICI plant, and finally escape into the wilds of Cheshire, where the pony-set deride you for riding a bike while their horses [censored] all over the roads and cycle paths, making a crash a distinct (and unpleasant) possibility.
