I had the chance to ride 2 old danish classic recumbents at a nearby (85 km away ;-) ) bikemuseum. I
didnt have a camera but if you got "The Recumbent Bicycle" its the "Sofa-cykel" on the bottom of
page 18 and the "Triumph Møller" on the top of page 21.
The sofacykel was actually quite comfy. You could lean back despite the diminutive backrest and the
steering was a la LWB. The Triumph Møller took some getting used to. The steering wheel was a bit
harder to balance with and there was no backsupport from the backrest. The u-joint steering also had
huge amounts of play. Both bikes were originals btw. Cool that they let people ride them.
Fun museum. They also had the biggest pennyfarthing I've seen. The wheel must have been 150-170 cm
in diameter. I'd hate to do an endo on that. Also tried an all-plastic upright. I think the
handlebars were cheese and not plastic tho. They didnt excactly inspire confidence with their flex.
Also got a century in while riding there and back which is always nice.
