Maybe you should commute over the Forth Bridge, which will:

a) give you that much stationary traffic every day, and;
b) allow you to sing "Can I take 'em to the bridge?"

Friend of mine did the same last week, Wifey offered a lift, "No ta,
I'll cycle.". Looks out the front door, its pissing down. Ah well,
can't back out now. Half way to work notices the stationery motorway.
Guess who arrived first?

Well, actually it was the wife who took the back road, but that's not
the point!
