  1. It's on again - only one week left to get your early entry in.

The Melbourne Autumn Daytour (MAD Ride) - Sunday 23rd April

This year at a new location, starting from Woodend. This gives a choice of
three routes, all on very low traffic roads: 110 km and 60km road routes,
all sealed roads through scenic rolling countryside, with the 110km route
going into the spectacular granite country of the Great Divide; and a 65km
MTB route through the Wombat State Forest on forest roads, rough 4WD tracks
    and single tracks.

Woodend will still be an easy drive for most people, 40mins from the inner
suburbs, 60mins from the eastern suburbs.

More details, including route maps and a ride review, can be found here:
    www.mbtc.org.au

And an entry form (PDF) can be downloaded from:
http://home.vicnet.net.au/~mbtc/Images/mad2006entry.pdf or go along to your
    LBS for a hard-copy entry

Photos of the MTB route track conditions (mostly taken last spring ie. wet)
    are at:
    http://community.webshots.com/album/457120617rXsdyb

So whether your thing is road challenge rides, an outing with the family, or
a MTB trail challenge, get an entry in for MAD 2006. It always draws many
riders back for a repeat of a great day out.

  2. Arh, doing the Great Divid ride, on the very same day no less.
That MTB ride sounds intresting, Saltwater track is just near mum & dads place (Bullengarook).
    Next year definately.

Sounds good. I'll have to see if I can make it...
