  1. i ain't talking about the broads driving mini-vans. How can these monsters run that fast? And why
    don't they wear shoes?

They run on their toes. no heal strikers!

If you think about it.. yes, all land animals run on their toes! Not a single mammal heel striker,
oh no wait.. there is one: THE PRIMITIVE HUMAN.

  3. According to my daughter, the zoo keeper, after returning from a research trip in Africa, the hippo
is the most dangerous animal over there. You don't get between them and where they are going if you
are smart. They don't exactly attack, but they don't go around small objects like people when they
are in a hurry and they can run fast - in her words really fast.

Actually if you look at Kenyan kids running barefoot, they also run on their toes (you can't run
heel first barefoot it really hurts on bare rock). It was only after the invention of shoes that we
    became heel strikers.

I recently read (for those trying to change their styles) someone said to try doing your warmups
    barefoot to help train yourself.
