Thinking about going for Reynolds Assault or Attack wheels over the Mavic SYS. All models go for about €750. Weights of the wheels are pretty much similar, between 1385g and 1525g. Here I ride all terrain,- long flats, mountain coast roads which go up to 28%, pre-pyrenean climbs which are as long as 30km averaging 4-5%.
I currently run HED Jet 50mm from 2007 which come in at 1680g, and also a pair of 2009 Mavic Cosmic Carbon SL wheels which are a shade off 1800g. The Mavic SYS are interesing but the spokes catch the wind a lot I have read and perhaps 1500g full carbon reynolds wheels for clincher would be a great solution. Have you used Attack or Assault wheels. I am about 70kg.
