  1. I hope someone can answer this.I am using diet software and
I have to fill in some food items manually. A multi Viatamin
has :Retinyl Palmitate (Vitamin A Palmitate 1.38mg) 2500IU
In the diet softawre the space is for Vitamin A RE ???? " An
IU is equivalent to 0.3 milligrams (mg) of a vitamin A
compound called all-trans-retinol. Units of RE are used to
standardize different forms of dietary vitamin A and 1 RE is
equal to 1 mg of all-trans-retinol." Does this mean the
    entry should be (2500IUx .3 = 750)??? Thanks a lot John

  2. Retinol Equivalents (RE). Retinyl Palmitate is pre-formed Vitamin A,
therefore, it is counted on a 1:1 ratio. Enter 2500.
