Subject: homemade chili sauce using canned tomatoes

    Maize

I'd like to make some chili sauce comparable to Heinz but since tomatoes
are not in season - I need to use the ones I canned last fall. Does
anyone have a recipe for chili sauce that might accomodate already
canned tomatoes? I don't know what the ingredients are added to in it
that sets it aside from ketchup. I just know I like it better.

    thanks,
    Susie

    Subject: Mystery Cheese Bread

Here is a mystery. I was at a party nd tasted a really good bread with
cheese. I can.t figure out what I am missing. They told me how to make
the bread but when I try to make it, it just doesn.t taste the same.
Maybe someone can read this and tell me the real recipe. You take a loaf
of Italian bread. You make vertical slices about 1 1/2 inches apart
nearly all the way through the bread in one direction aned another set
of slices perpendicular. The bread is cut into 1 1/2 inch towers of
bread which are still attached to the base. You slightly separate the
squares and put mushroom slices and swiss cheese inbetween the towers.
You pour butter over it and I think there is some garlic. Anyone have a
    recipe for this?
