I just bought a new Orbea frame that came with an Easton EA70 fork instead of the stock Zeus. I would like to upgrade some of the parts that came on it. A Deda stem and handlebar are replacing the Easton EA50 stem/handlebar. The headset however, is something I don't know much about. The dealer put an FSA cap on the headset (urgh). I would like to upgrade the existing Aheadset ZST with a Cane Creek S2.
- Is there anything specific I should know before buying one? - Do they fit just fine on a pre-cut steerer in place of an existing headset?

Why mess with the HS if it don't need it?? The FSA cap is likely part of an aftermarket compression bung.Nothing wrong with it. You can only replace an integrated HS with one with exactly the same specs. You can find the specs in the repair section at www.paktool.com You can also probably find the specs at the respective manufacturers sites. You got enough spacers on that stem, that stack height of stem and HS isn't an issue.
