Is there a better option than paying $70 for a new XTR 32T middle ring? I like the XTR shifts better than race face, but come on, it's a friggin bicycle, not the space shuttle. </rant off/>

I replaced a broken XT middle ring with an LX ring...have not noticed any difference. Mainly because that was what the local shop had in stock ($24).

PS. Yes I change my chain often.
What happened to your ring? I broke a tooth right off the same model chainring with no indications of hitting anything. I agree on the cost as I'm on my way to my LBS to pick up the new one right now. However I kind of figure that I once spent all this cash on XTR why should I get cheap now?
