  1. I've noticed that when I start dating someone new, that I "acquire"
their bacterial profile. What I mean is that my breath starts to smell
like theirs, presumably because the bacteria in their mouths gets
    transferred from kissing.

This has not been a big problem, but definitely something I've
noticed, and occasionally been annoyed by.

About six months ago, I started dating a new guy, and noticed the same
thing. But this time, ANOTHER bacteria had changed too--my intestinal
bacteria. I don't want to even guess how that happened, but now my
flatulence and excrement smell EXACTLY like his, and I mean EXACTLY
(and *vaguely* like my new bad breath). (I've ruled out any
biochemical change, or diet, because I have the same smell as him even
if our diets are completely different, and it's unlikely my digestive
system would have changed otherwise just because we started dating).
He also says that smell existed with him before he met me; mine
started smelling that way soon after we met, and never before.

The big problem is that the smell is AWFUL. I know flatulence and
excrement pretty much never smell pleasant, but suffice it to say that
we both agree that we would like it to change...to almost anything.

Is there a way of wiping out whatever bacteria I've acquired, and
repopulating my bowels with something a bit more sweet-smelling? I
would prefer some sort of flora that does its job, but produces solid
and gaseous waste that are a bit less noxious.

I've tried taking a handful of probiotics, like Reuteri, Saccharomyces
boulardii, a range of "hardy" Bifidum bacteria, Culturelle,
Acidophilus, you name it. NOTHING works. The bacteria responsible for
the noxious smell are still alive and well.

I've even thought of somehow getting some antibiotic, wiping out all
of my intestinal flora, and then quickly moving to replace the "void"
with some of the aforementioned "friendly" flora. I know, though, that
this process is generally quite toxic.

I'm just desperate to get rid of this bacterium. I also feel like it's
been responsible for the stomach aches I've had off-and-on for the
past few months (but that might be unrelated).

Any specific advice would be appreciated!!!!
