Removing ptap speed sensor

Before you go cutting, I seem to remember one or maybe both sets (cadence and hub fin) just plugging into the harness. Find the correct wire and give the plug a nice tug and see if you can just unplug it. Def better for resale value later on.

What speed sensor?

There is a separate cadence sensor. Speed is transmitted from the PT hub.

If you want speed on a non Ptap wheel, you need a good wheel/spoke magnet to pass close by the receiver mounted on the rear stay. The CPU also needs to be switched to cyclo computer mode for this to work.

If you want the cadence sensor to work, get a good strong magnet like a rare earth type (not the crappy ones that comes with most bike computers) - I think you'll find that will work a treat.

The separate cadence sensor just plugs into the CPU mount, so just pull it out and detach, no need to snip it...
