I posted this in .tech, but didn't get any responses, so
I'll try here...
I'm looking for plans (or a pre-made one) for a platform
which I can easily attach to and remove from my rear rack,
which would be big enough to hold a large gym bag (approx
27" long, 12" wide) without it hanging way off the end and
sides as it does on the factory rack.
I'm sure I could whip something up out of 1/4" plywood and
four u-bolts, but was wondering is somebody knows of a better-
looking, more durable solution.
Aluminum would be nice, but not necessary. I have wood
working tools, but not much in the way of metal working
tools except for a bench vise, a hacksaw and a Dremel, so
complex metal bending and welding are out (simple bending,
cutting and soldering are ok).
Thanks for any suggestions!
