Odd question, but I have to put a casserole in before I pick my partner up
and I probably won't have time to make mash beforehand, so I was wondering
if you can easily reheat mashed potatoes in the microwave? Any tips to avoid
it going nasty?

and stir or mash it in. Cover and heat. That makes a big difference to the texture.

I'll tell you something that IS nasty. Cook the potatoes first, then
run off to pick up kids and come home to mash the now cold potatoes.
