OK, just a general, wild, enquiry, but part of my planning for a new winter bike.
I'm looking for some paint that is reflective under headlights, but just looks normal in daylight. Something similar to the clothing that you can buy for cycling or running - i looks black in daylight, but shine a light at it in the dark and it reflects back nice and bright.
Is there such a beast ?

Yes, I've seen discussion of it, but I have no idea where to buy it. (If I searched for the discussion I might find the name of an American hardware store someone saw an American paint brand that didn't seem to have any UK stockists when I searched at the time I first saw it.) Black reflective tape might be easier to find. (It won't look totally black, nor reflect as brightly as reflective white would.)
Well, Soppec make retroreflective paint which is supposed to be unobtrusive in daylight: http://produits.batiactu.com/publi/voir-redactionnel.php?p=2006-02-02_169_325 I have no personal experience of this paint, so I don't know whether it is what you are looking for. It can be found for sale on Ebay as "Light Reflective Spray Paint" with hints that it might be used for purposes that many in this parish would disapprove of...
