    I've been asked why a red X appears instead of the pictures in another
    thread with these links:

    A shapely cyclist's knee that got too close to an exploding Slime tube

    The site mentions the red X problem in its FAQ, but I don't know what
    people need to do to get around it:

    "I am using the URL you gave me to hotlink an image to a message board
    forum), but it shows up as a red x. What do I do?"

    "Make sure you are using the link which is already in [img] tags for
    you, and not any of the other links. The dynamically generated php
    page will not parse into [img] tags, so if you try to hotlink to the
    dynamically generated php page, your link will not show up."

    My browser doesn't generate the problem, so I'm hoping that someone
    familiar with it can suggest a solution.

    It's because you used a crappy image-hosting site.

    Always use tinypic.com.

    Funny pic, but in no way are those shaggy stumps shapely. Sorry, but

    "A shapely cyclist's knee" seemed like a legitimate ruse to lure our
    more prurient posters into viewing the picture, falling honorably
    between "shaggy stumps" and "[censored] LIVE CO-ED DANCERS!!!"

    The original almost full-length portrait was trimmed at the behest of
    the Hays Office.

    I assure you that emails from the infatuated daughters of RBT posters
    requesting my autograph or favorite color will be regretfully but
    firmly ignored, unless accompanied by a note from their parents or
    probation officer.
