  1. So over the weekend we installed my mother in one of those new assisted living apartment complexes,
    and were taking a look around at the facilities, including the gym. They had a row of NuTek machines
    that at first I couldn't figure out, and then realized that they were recumbent stair steppers. The
    very laid back seat would swivel to the side to help you mount, then you rotated in line with a pair
    of steps. It looked like the last word in non-impact exercize, especially for anyone whose own
    weight made even walking uncomfortable. It also had a pair of movable handles that you could use
    against the resistance.

    Can a recumbent treadmill be far behind?
