  1. Hey all,

Just looking for some input on a bizarre pain I am experiencing around and to the left of my belly button. The pain is not internal and it is seemingly related to the muscles of my abdomen.

I didn't notice the pain until yesterday and even now it is only painful when I touch the area. I do not feel any masses or lumps but it does feel a little tender.

What can be causing this?? A muscle strain? Something else?

Any thoughts/anecdotes/similar experiences would be much appreciated.

    Thanks!

PS Some additional (possibly) relevant information:

-I rode 60 and 50 miles this Saturday and Sunday with Sprint Intervals on the second day.
-I have already contacted my general practitioner but do not have an appt until Wednesday.

  2. See a doctor - this does not sound minor.

  3. Forgive me for making light of your situation, which may be serious (but we all hope not), but when I saw your thread title, all I could think of was that perhaps you'd taken a cannon ball amidships, perhaps somewhere 'round the mizzenmast!

On reflection, however, I'm reasonably sure the word you meant to use is "navel".
