Well I'm crossing my fingers and knocking on wood but my days of nagging
injury may be about over.
I had a couple of moments of awareness this week , on tuesday after a
workout at the track, (no I didn't do intervals my wife did, I went for
short intense hill repeats), I was chasing her on the way home as she took
off thinking I had left. At some point I realized that hmm, I'm pushing off
on my right foot and landing on my left foot. I assume that this had become
a habit due to the injuries in my left foot and ankle. My foot now feels
strong enough to push off on it! The second one was after running a hour
road workout yesterday 10 min wu , 20 x 1 minute hard with one minute rest.
Later in the day it occurred to me that my left foot and ankle wasn't in
pain or my right achilles for that matter.
I give credit mostly to doing the exercises in these two articles
religiously:

I also have come to really like the training shoes I'm wearing now, Brooks
Adrenaline GT6, I don't know how much the new orthotics I got this past
spring have really have helped.
I really thought I was kidding myself when I keep posting the possibility of
a spring 50k or Boston but now it's starting to look like it may be
possible.
