  1. My father in law has been diagnosed as a "borderline"
    diabetic (pre-diabetes). My mother in law is insiting that
    his fasting blood glucose should be < 100 and his 2 hours
    blood glucose should be < 140. These numbers seem awfully
    low to me. He is swearing off a lot of foods that he likes
    because it is almost impossible to achieve these limits they
    have set for him. Are these numbers reasonable? Are there
    any official guidelines he should be using? We would all
    appreciate some guidance.

  2. Those numbers are not only reasonable, they are
    "normal"......

    With diet, exercise and meds, non-diabetic numbers and
    control can be achieved, but it takes work.....

    I've achieved fbg numbers around 80, which is "normal".
    Anyhthning over 140 is just too high....
