The bars were described as "awesome, homemade, and incredible" so they sure sound good.

And that brings to mind that awesome, homemade, incredibly high bottom bracket bike you built. It's
been a while and I'm wondering what your assessment of the design is after putting some miles on the
bike. As a low to mid bottom bracket rider how has the adjustment to the very high bottom bracket
    worked for you?

  3. These look GREAT! Thanks for posting the link. I'm currently eating Odwala Super Protein
bars (vegan) and like them, but would like to find some alternatives. There are 15 recipes
    on the web page.

Yo Skip: I have 3 metrics on the home made. I adjusted pretty well to the high bottom bracket. I can
see why the big wheel B bikes and the Visions are sought after by the go fast group. Even though my
homey is not 100%and is on the hefty side it is rock stable at all speeds and is pretty quick
considering its weight. Ive been toying with the idea of going with a sram dual drive laced to
lighter rims and putting on a m5 type of seat. I feel like the basic design is OK and if I were to
make another I would use cro mo tube for the boom and the above extras. For those that are reading
this and are curious about the homey you can check it out at:

  5. Here is a radical thought - don't eat any of this stuff unless you omit the sugar, honey, flour and
raisins. It you omit these things, then you may not find the remainder to the ingredients very
    palatable.

Read about the glycemic index value for foods or try a site like
    sugarbusters.comhome.html

I used to spend money on all kinds of energy bars. Now that I've weaned myself from sugar, I take a
few cheese sticks along and seldom get hungry on before 30 or 40 miles - a cheese stick or two keeps
me going another 20 or 30 miles. My energy level is far better than it was when I ate energy bars to
    keep me going.
