  1. Many years ago I paid a few dollars to subscribe to a print
newsletter that listed recipe contests. This was a home
based operation in which the editor looked through
magazines and ads for companies that offered prizes for the
best recipes using their products. Deadlines, rules and
addresses on where and how to enter were included. I
enjoyed experimenting and entering for a while, then got
busy and lost interest. Years later, I'm thinking it might
    be fun again.

Anyone know of where I might subscribe to such a newsletter?
Ideally, it would have the recipe contests in one place (as
opposed to links so I could track them down myself), and
they'd be checked for legitamacy (as opposed to letting me
know about urban myths). I'd actually prefer a print
newsletter that would be mailed to me but would be fine with
    a web address too.

Lia, I did a quick search on Google for "recipe contests",
and the first one on the page appears to be what you're
looking for - here's the link:
    recipecontests.comsubscribe.html The
subscription costs $25 a year. (I can't vouch for the site,
    as I've never subscribed...)

Thanks. I was hoping someone had tried these and could
recommend. I can tell I might have to be the guinea pig.

www.contestcook.com is half price through May. Only $12
    for one year.
