  1. I've got a minute. Just barely a minute, and came across this reicpe.
    Along with the duck Christy and I will be doing NYD I'll be serving this
    soup. Sounds good. Oh, it's from gayfood.com. I thought I would share
    it. My house is getting really full about now. I have a new digital. I
    might even take some pics.

    Curry Crab and Apple Soup
    This Curry Crab and Apple Soup is rich and full of flava!
    Taste: Savory
    Nationality: Asian
    Course: Soups and Salads

    Ingredients

    4 Tbsp. butter
    1 medium onion, diced
    3 large golden delicious apples, cored, peeled and diced
    3 Tbsp. flour
    2 Tbsp. curry powder
    2 quarts chicken stock
    2.5 tsp. minced garlic
    1 lb. crab
    1 cup heavy whipping cream
    0 to taste salt and pepper

    Directions

    In a medium saucepan, heat chicken stock over medium heat to almost
    boiling. In a skillet, melt butter over medium high heat. Sauté onions
    until transparent. Add apples, flour and curry. Sauté until brown and
    crusty, about 5 minutes. Add garlic and cook an additional minute. Add
    apple mixture to heated chicken stock. Transfer a cup or so of stock to
    empty skillet and scrape pan of dripping, transfer back to stock. Simmer
    soup for 30 minutes and add crabmeat. Stir in cream. Do not boil, heat
    until serving temp. Add salt and pepper to taste and serve.

    Yeah, crab is pricey. I may divide that recipe in half and try it.
