Whilst cycling to work last week I noticed that there was road works on
the shared use facility on the A4174 adjacent to a pedestrian bus stop.

The workmen had even had the decency to remove the bus shelter so that I
could cycle by.
That evening on the way home I was surprised to discover the bus shelter
suddenly jumped out in front of me, and realised that they has converted
a pedestrian bus stop into a cyclist bus stop.
Gloucester council have must realised that cyclists are often tired,
especially after working all day, and provided this facility so that I
can get a bus halfway home.
Moved bus stop.

Yes it is in the cycle lane ( the lane bends around the bit where the
bus pulls in).

On a serious note this removes the kill zone between the bus shelter and
the kerb where POBs don't slow down.
