I have a 1980's Nashiki Cresta touring bike that came with spacers in the rear dropouts I've lost one of the spacers and can't find a replacement anywhere.
The function of the spacers is to keep the rear axel from going all of the way into the dropout and keeps the wheel positioned properly for the cantilever brakes. I have one of the spacers, but when changing the rear wheel, I have to position the other side of the axel manually before tightening the skewer.
I've seen some bikes that have screws at the back of the dropout to perform this function. This is a metal clip that fits inside the dropout.
Does anyone know of a source for these clips? I've emailed Nishiki, but so far, no response.
