    No.

There are ways to get lower gearing even with Campagnolo
stuff, though not as low as you can go with Shimano.

Assuming the bike has a triple crank, you can go as small as
24 teeth for the granny gear.

In the back, you can generally get down to about a 28 or 30
tooth sprocket with pretty much any modern rear derailer.
Don't be misled by the listed capacity, see:

Wanna buy an 8sp Record rear derailleur? or buy any Campy
rear derailleur. Veloce looks and works fine.

Nope but you can use any of the modern Campagnolo mid or
long cage rear ders with those shifters, it'll work great,
we do this all the time.

Don't believe what some web based 'experts' say about using
a modern(2001/2/3/4) Campagnolo rear der with older
shifters. They seem to have never tried it. We have and it
works just fine without any modification.

This gent, using a long cage Campagnolo rear der, like a
Veloce one, and he can use say a 11-34 w/o problem. Add some
black Campagnolo spacers to a lower end 8s cogset, it'll
    work great.
