Does anyone every practise tuck and roll? Or even think about it?
I don't know about practise. Let's just say I have spent a great deal of time falling off bikes and cliffs, and try to avoid hurting myself doing so. In a really quick bike crash there might not be time, but gnerally you can throw and tuck pretty quickly.
Also, staying upright is a good skill. I managed a 40km/h front wheel slide the other day, without going out of my lane. I was fairly happy with that, having found just how fast the new tyres could go around a corner.
