Is there any benefit to have wider handlebars ?

More leverage for climbing and better for breathing because your chest
is more open when riding instead of being hunched up.

Please do not spread myths. The climbing leverage thingie is complete
bull****, and the breathing thingie has been routinely dismissed as myth
    by every modern cycling expert.

Every Modern cycling expert... hmmm Is that the same "expert" who
claims it isn't "mountain biking" unless you are literally biking
over a mountain???? Or the cycling "expert" who uses drop bars to
    "mountain bike"?
