Well, yes I could just cut it but then it is non-returnable or
exchangeable. I want it to be exchangeable just in case we can't get
the required setback once the height is correct.
For those of you that were speculating about the seatpost issue you
got the manufacturer correct but missed the reason. The post is a
straight Thomson without angled setback. The length was 410mm and the
bottom of it was hitting the top bottle cage braze-on. With this frame
the seat is already down close to the top tube so the shortest Thomson
post should work fine and save some weight too.
