First off, I'm not Jewish.
Second off, I get plenty of opportunity to refute anti-Semites and
Holocaust deniers in alt.revisionism, where I've been a regular for
nearly five years now. I don't need to find them in m.h.a., nor do I
particularly even want to find them here, if I can avoid it.
Unfortunately, I haven't been able to avoid finding them, and, when I
happen to come across anti-Semitic comments in this newsgroup (such as
DEBBEE using all sorts of codewords to imply that the Jews are
suppressing alt-med because of greed) or the posting of Holocaust denial
websites (as Carol did), I don't stay silent. Sorry if you don't like
it. (Well, actually, I'm not.)
Finally, this most recent round of "discussions" (if they can even be
called that) of anti-Semitism in this newsgroup was not started by
someone on the "conventional medicine side." It was rekindled by Ilena's
broadside against Mark Probert in another thread a couple of days ago,
in which she once again accused him of "spreading anti-Semitism" because
he has a problem staying silent when he sees anti-Semitic posts (as do
I). I still don't know what brought this most recent attack on, as I
don't recall seeing a post by Mark in the last couple of weeks (at
least) in which he even mentioned anti-Semitism.

No, no provocation is necessary for anti-Semitism to well to the
surface among a (fortunately) few of the alties.
