  1. I guess it depends mostly on terrain, but I'll go farther to say:

Of the various unicycling styles, M-uni is -the most- hardcore.

In saying that, I cite the video a Kris Holm riding down extremely
    steep descents (the Irene vid).
Moreover, I must point out the fact that M-uni is physically
exhausting. Try for example riding up a 1/2 mile of very loose and
rocky 12% grade and then bust a mere 15" hop. The point is that the
(assuming you have difficult terrain) your resources are quickly used
up from going point A to B . . . and there's little left over for all
of those neat tricks that the other styles flaunt. M-uni offers far
more internal pain (heart, lungs, burning blood).

Finally, for a clear description of hardcore . . . . riding UP the
    first ride of CMW 2005.
Hey, it's only 6 miles, right?

Exactly. In fact, to make it mega-core, solid-core or cement-core,
after your leisurely uphill crank on Coldsprings, simply stop & idle
once, and then ride down backwards. Watch those exposed dropoffs.
