Lass Chance said:Now....my thinking was...."as long as I keep it to 20 carbs a day, it
shouldnt matter where those carbs came from."Evidentally.....this is not true. If I've learned anything this week,
it's this:
Ya cant drink a liter of wine a day and lose weight. But what I want to know is.....WHY?
Calories. Limiting carbs does NOT magically make excess calories
disappear, if you overeat (or in this case, overdrink).
A glass of wine is about 80 to 115 calories per 4 ounces.
A liter of wine a day is a lot of extra calories.
Also, alcohol calories will be burned before fat or carbs.
As others have mentioned, if you're drinking a liter of wine a day,
you may have more serious problems to be addressed before your weight.
