Now....my thinking was...."as long as I keep it to 20 carbs a day, it
shouldnt matter where those carbs came from."

Evidentally.....this is not true. If I've learned anything this week,
    it's this:
Ya cant drink a liter of wine a day and lose weight.

But what I want to know is.....WHY?

Calories. Limiting carbs does NOT magically make excess calories
disappear, if you overeat (or in this case, overdrink).

A glass of wine is about 80 to 115 calories per 4 ounces.
A liter of wine a day is a lot of extra calories.
Also, alcohol calories will be burned before fat or carbs.

As others have mentioned, if you're drinking a liter of wine a day,
you may have more serious problems to be addressed before your weight.

  2. This is OLD news, peeps. I cant believe people are STILL even commenting
on this, each one repeating over and over that wine has calories. I GET
    IT.

Have you not read my post from last Monday, I think, where I said Im not
    drinking wine AT ALL now?

It's really not necessary to KEEP offering this same council---I GET IT,
I GOT it and it's a DONE DEAL. You're addressing a problem that no
    lonegr exists.

Im a quick study---I screwed up, I GOT the lesson, changed my course
and left the problem behind almost a week ago, LOL.

Not to even mention I STILL lost 9 lbs
in three weeks---which Im pretty ok with.
OK--I MIGHT have lost 12 or even 15, but that's the breaks. I have the
rest of my life to make up for it.

    Let's move on!

I recently had several posts show up on my server a week late, that might be
what's going on here. Just a propagation glitch in cyberspace.

Well, with the way USENET works, sometimes, say, you'll post a question
one day, and maybe some people don't read it until a few days later, and
maybe they respond when they see it, which happens to be after everyone
else has responded. And, sometimes what happens is, new subscribers who
never even saw your original post may read the replies, and maybe those
replies will help them out with their own questions, even though you no
longer need them. Anyway, the point is, once you start a thread, where
it goes from there is out of your hands. If a thread drifts past your
needs, you can always just kill that thread.
