Steph and I had our first ride together today. If I remember right, according to Steph's computer we did 13.9 miles. It wasn't as hard as I expected, although the last leg (home from Steph's on my own) was tougher going. It was such a beautiful day today, I'm glad we got out in it.
Next weekend, we're going to do it all again.
Here is something to aim for (Well actually everyone in the country could aim for) Being a _100mile a week bike family_. It's easier than you think. You've just done 28miles - add a few trips to the shops, school, work, the pub and you're there.
[Well done to you. I'm staying in the warm and nowhere near 100 mile a month 'till the spring arrives.]

Well if Audrey and I count as a 'family' for this purpose, that shouldn't be too hard. My general doing things around Manchester cycling is about 20 miles a week, add a longer ride with Audrey at the weekend of at least 15 miles and there's only another 15 to find. I was doing 50 a week last summer, so it won't take long to get back to that I think. -- Blessed are the pessimists, for they make backups! I've added 8 or so to the familial mileage today
