I find it's always a bad sign when an OS which normally behaves itself to suddenly crash for no reason. That got me looking there and then. When friends said the same thing had happened to them I knew something was up.
That, or CNN, or MSNBC, or ....
It's been in the headlines for several days. On the other hand, with MSWin I'm not sure you'd notice any difference right away.
