Took the 18 mile dead end trip down Loch Arkaig to pick up SaF sitting out beside Sgurr Mor above Glen Kingie. if ever there is an argument for doing Corbetts and Munros together then this is it. Did the Munro way back mid nineties, descended to the col, and headed straight down hill when another 15 minutes would have bagged the Corbett at the time.
They're on my list. More than 900m asl and more than 100m drop. However, last time I was in the area I sat out a driech day at A' Chuil rather than do SnC Sgurr Mor and SaF with zero chance of a view and 100 percent chance of ending up soaked. The day before I had walked over Sgurr na Chiche and Chioch Mor post-holing through deteriorating snow with only fleeting glimpses of the Rough Bounds as compensation.
I remember Richard Webb's description of that road.:

yet another reply that just fills me with admiration for the dedication some of you guys show from down south. it is so easy for us to go to dessary for the day and no big deal if the weather is [censored] or we have to call off for any other reason. But some of you like Phil travel well over 1000 mile round trip to go to walk or stay in bothies some very remote parts of Scotland, some of which my own countrymen have never even heard off.
