  1. [censored]. If total weight is 47kg, and bike weighs 15kg, that means you
    are taking 70 lbs of gear! You really do need to tink about what you
    really, really, really need, otherwise it will spoil your trip.

    Apart from cycling , I do a few remote backpacking trips, and even taking
    all of our food for 7 or 8 days, we are looking at a pack weight of 45 lbs.

    You should be able to do lightweight tent, sleeping bag and cooking gear
    within about 15 lbs. Spare clothes and luxuries, 10lbs. This leaves room
    for food and water as necessary - if you are wild camping this may mean 2
    days supply, if an organised campsite you really need very little.

    Clothes, minimum and wash them when necessary.
