How wonderful to read the post from four years ago and now the one
updating us about your present visit to Iowa, to attend your
daughter's college graduation. Congratulations to all three of you
and I am hoping that there will be another post, telling us all about
the for the future. :o) And about any interesting food from the
picnic and from any other meal that you consumed on this special trip,
to make this post legal. MS
Many thanks, Margaret. It turned out that the gathering this
afternoon wasn't a picnic after all. No blue cheese either. We had a
cookout orchestrated by the students in our daughter's house
yesterday. A bit rough and ready, it was, but entertaining. I lost
at dominoes, dammit.
D and I stopped at Omaha on our way up here and a friend there took us
out for tapas at a decent Spanish restaurant. Most satisfying. White
anchovies inj olive oil and garlic, beef carpaccio with manchego and
capres, grilled salad with oilve oil, spinach with garlic and lemon,
etc.
