    It do, it do.

Back in August of 2001 I wrote this on rfc:

"Donna and I returned from delivering my daughter to college in Iowa
this afternoon. 1500 mile round trip. I don't know what to do
without a steering wheel in my hands.

It's been four years. D and I are back in Grinnell now. Our daughter
will graduate tomorrow morning. I'm stunned and happy and reeling and
    sad and delighted for her.

I remember reading that post and nodding in agreement. Dropping a child
off at college is a bittersweet day.

On the other hand, commencement should be exhilarating, even if it's
only the doorway leading to grad school.

Congratulations to her and to you for seeing her through it.

Thanks, Gloria. She's a champ, for sure.

OBFood: I picked up a plastic container for ice to chill the cheese on
the way back south. Maytag blue, sure, but D likes their cheddar,
    too.

Have you ever tried the cheddar (or any of the selections) from
Washington State University's student run cheese program?
Everything we have bought from there has been wonderful.
They come packed in 2 lb. cans, IIRC. I don't know if they are
in operation during the summer due to student schedules.

Never had their cheese. I suppose they mail order stuff, right?

Graduation update: She walked the stage, got her sheep skin. I only
    teared up a little bit.

We have some cava chilling for a little splurge this afternoon.

Tonight's dinner is to be at an Argentine place in Newton, IA. Said
to be good. I don't know.
