My two closest friends both found out today that a loved one of theirs
has cancer. My friend Mike's, with whom I went on vacation with
earlier this week and last, father has been diagnosed with lung
cancer. And Scotty, who a few of you met in Laughlin in December
(most of whom don't post here any more), just found out the lump in
    his wife's breast is malignant.

I guess MFW means more to me than I thought as I'm spewing this here.
Anywho, the point I'm trying to make is you never know when life is
going to throw you a curve ball so go out and enjoy it while you can.
While thankfully cancer is no longer a death sentence, it still can
bring great hardship to a person/family where life gets put on hold
for a while during the fight. So stop [censored] and pissing and
moaning with the poster with whom you've never met and enjoy life
    while you can.

I'm sorry to hear that JH as I know just how distressing the ills of
    our good friends can be.

My own doctor, and one of my best friends, had to be airlifted to
hospital last weekend with an Aortic Aneurysm. He is only 57 and was a
very fit and healthy chap; he was given only a 4% chance of survival!!

He is still not out of the woods, but is comfortable and making a good
    recovery!!

As you say, it does put what we all do at MFW into perspective. Let us
not forget that for most of us this is a game and simply a
distraction, which when it gets all too much sometimes, can be put
right with the click of a switch!!

Sadly, real life is just not like that, and we must all try not to
waste it as the sands of time trickle away relentlessly!!
