I have heard it quoted a great deal too, imagine all those people
running up to swans and getting hurt! An epidemic in fact.
Still the chap I had in mind was a right little sod...
So much so that his bodyguard told the entire common room that his job
was to stop him being kidnapped not to stop him being thumped by his
school mates - not that he had any.
Would not have surprised me, then or now, if he was teasing the thing or
something equally silly.
